Brand and Turquality Supports

Turquality is the first and only branding program supported by the state of the world, which was created with the aim of creating and placing a positive image of Turkish goods abroad. The Turquality support program is being implemented by the Ministry of Trade and government incentives are provided to the companies accepted to the program, especially for target markets.

Turquality, which is created with the aim of making the international market area reachable for the Turkish companies, is creating a supporting system that covers all the processes of companies with branding potential, from production to marketing, from sales to after-sales services in the sectors where our country has a competitive advantage.

Procedures and principle regarding processes regarding the application, evaluation and finalization procedures for the implementation of Brand and Turquality supports within the scope of Decision on Export Supports, and the operation of these processes over the system, Circular on the Brand and Turquality Support, which was put into effect with the Presidental Decision dated 17.08.2022 and numbered 5973. The new regulations entered into force at 16.01.2023.

A. Brand and Turquality Supports

Various sectors can benefit from the Turquality support program. It can cover all sectors that are open to grow in international dimensions such as consumer products, aerospace and defense industry, automotive industry, healthcare industry, process/chemical, hi-tech/telecomunicatins and other manufacturers and hospitality industries.

The advantages of this support program are mostly ;that their support companies in establishing a sustainable infrastructure in the medium-long term;  providing financial resources to become a brand; providing training support for management staff; to support for management staff; to support communication and promotional activities in order to create and maintain a positive image of  Turkish goods in foreign markets. We can list it as an increasing brand awareness and providing intelligence support for actions to be taken or planned for target markets.

The supports which is provided to companies that want to be included can be explained as :

a)Promotional support
b) Fair support
c) Consulting support
d)Unit rental with storage service/basic installation/concept architectural work support
e)Franchise support
f)Employement support
g)Market entry certificate, licensing and clinical test operations support
h)Market research study and reports support is provided.

However, we would like to remind you that this support has a limit. These support limits are updated at the rate of (CPI + D PPI)/2 at the beginning of each calendar year.

B. About the Benefits of Participating in the Program

Turquality is not only a branding program. The program serves to strengthen the position of business brands within the scope of the program, while it is also known to be beneficial fort he institutionalization of many businesses.

Such support programs support Turkish brands to take a stronger place in global markets. One of the most important contributions of such supports is the contribution of the company to its development of itself. Since the companies included in these support programs are preferred by foreign companies, they also contribute positively to increasing their exports.

C. About the Application Process

Before and after the application to the program, the support provided by the board of directors or the senior management unit in line with the objectives of the enterprise and the creation of a strong synergy between the employees is an issue that needs attention. Therefore, a high- quality communication within the enterprise can bring maximum efficiency.

In this context, there are some important details that businesses that want to benefit from Turquality program should pay attention to, before applying. First of all, businesses that apply to Turquality and Turquality Brand Support Programs must have their trademark registered in at least one of the target markets where they will operate in Turkey and abroad. Then, the enterprises that meet these conditions are included in the Turquality Project Pre-Evaluation study  and the enterprises that are successful as a result of the preliminary evaluation study are informed about which of the Brand Support or Turquality Programs they are accepted.

The documents required fort he application are as follows:

• Turkish Trade Registry Gazette/list of attendees or shareholder list/chart showing the company’s latest capital structure
• Certificate of registration
• Domestic trademark registration certificate
• Foreign trademark registration document registered in at least one of the countries that are party to the Madrid International Trademark Registration Protocol of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WİPO)
• Regarding the export amount declared in the application, the tax identification numbers of the applicant company and other companies with organic ties, if any and the Turk Trade Registry Gazette/the list of attendees or shareholders list/shedule proving the organic affiliation
• Commitment
• Declaration
